Sapropels increase soil fertility, improve its mechanical structure, reduce excess acidity, increase the content of mobile forms of phosphorus and potassium in the soil. The yield of cereals, vegetables and root crops after the introduction of this natural biostimulant increases by 40–50%. Fertilizers on this basis have a number of advantages compared to, for example, compost of animal origin, because they do not contain weed seeds, are not infected with pathogenic bacteria and flora.
